Created by photographer Jamie Kowal the Amado is a meeting point for artists, dreamers, adventurers and wanderers from all across the Globe. 

With this introduction, and after speaking to Jamie I knew I had to stop by. I was lucky enough to stay in one of the 5 apartments. The complex is effortlessly cool with its own private pool.

The interiors are second to none with concrete floors, Bolivian textiles and crisp white bedsheets. (with the most enormous beds too) . They also supply Stumptown coffee, tea, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and turkish pool towels. 

Its safe to say I was pretty happy to stay here while I was in town. 

Also created by Jamie is Ernest coffee and Bootlegger Tiki both worth a stop off when your passing through Palm Springs.

Later Jamie teamed with childhood friend Anna Hardwick to open The Ferg and then with Aaron David to open the Wilk (Both in Prince Edward County just 2.5 hours from Toronto). 

Its safe to say if you ever find yourself in Palm Springs be sure to stop by The Amardo.
